Actual spit-take on this one lol

“I would like to see him banned from Mar-a-Lago if only so those people could get married in peace without Trump crashing the wedding and offering unsolicited election laments disguised as terrible toasts.”

God or Karma is the only way we can truly be rid of this man...I'm not kidding. I was suspended from Twitter for saying "Just keep eating that 'beautiful chocolate cake' and have a stroke". But here, I am saying, keep right on eating that incredibly unhealthy diet. Let Karma come around.

Good stuff as always, but I'm not gonna lie: "I would like to see him banned from Mar-a-Lago if only so those people could get married in peace without Trump crashing the wedding and offering unsolicited election laments disguised as terrible toasts." is the quality content I signed up for.

Dan, thank you so much for this deep dive. This has to be a first step, addressing a problem with basic communications. There is no more true public square, no single trusted space.

Spending our time lamenting doesn't focus us on a monumental task; formulating a comprehensive, legally-defensible, embedded in motha' fuckin' stone for all to see, Fairness Doctrine.

We can go around all day long about the 'how' to implement it. We *should* go deep as hell on implementing it, this is 1st Amendment stuff and literally sacred to a healthy democracy.

But that's what we're fighting for. A return to healthy democracy. It's a noble enough goal.

Maybe start with basics like, "This is true: The Sky Is Blue. (In fact, the sky is blue because (click here)." An institutional or more healthy, a multi-institutional approach to establishing a modern curated library.

Let the demagogues howl and cry outside the gates.

IDK, but more than anything, thank you for starting the convo. No matter if we agree with them or hold them as pariahs, Zuckerberg, Murdoch, Mercer, et al., will continue to be in charge until we put rules back on the game.

Is there any chance at all that Congress will reform/regulate these platforms? Your quote re: "anticipating a corporate decision" with the intensity one might expect from an important Supreme Court decision (for example) is "not great, Dan".....
